About the office
The Municipal Revenue Office of Riga City is a municipal institution under the authority of the Finance Department of Riga City Council, which administers the taxes due to the municipality and serves taxpayers, as well as sets the purposes of using land plots.
The Municipal Revenue Office has the following functions:

ADMINISTRATION OF THE LAND TAX AND THE REAL ESTATE TAX DEBT
SETTING THE PURPOSE OF USING A REAL ESTATE
MAKING A FORECAST FOR REAL ESTATE TAX REVENUES
PREPARING INFORMATION ABOUT THE REAL ESTATE TAX PAID TO THE MUNICIPAL BUDGET
STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE MUNICIPAL FINANCES EQUALIZATION SYSTEM FROM THE MUNICIPALITY’S PERSPECTIVE
Structure
According to the Regulation, the structure of the Municipal Revenue Office is approved by the director of the Finance Department.

Management
The work of the Municipal Revenue Office is organized by its director, appointed by Riga City Council. The director of the Municipal Revenue Office is Ilmārs Ziedonis.
There is also one assistant director, whose competence is set by the director of the Municipal Revenue Office. The assistant director is Ināra Papina, who is also the head of the Legal Section.

Quality management system
The quality management system was implemented and certified at the Municipal Revenue Office of Riga City in 2005 in conformity with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2000 standard. In April 2017, the quality management system was certified in conformity with the requirements of the new ISO 9001:2015 standard.
